Fireworks on the Fjord, Poulsbo’s annual July 3 tradition, has been canceled indefinitely. The well-attended annual event has historically attracted up to 40,000 people to Liberty Bay by car and by boat.
Below is the announcement regarding this decision, shared in April 2022:
“After much thought and consideration, the volunteer board of directors at Viking Fest Corporation have made the tough, but necessary decision to focus their efforts solely Viking Fest and Poulsbo Tree Lighting. This means that going forward the Viking Fest Corporation will no longer be presenting the 3rd of July Fireworks celebration in Poulsbo. With such a small team of volunteers responsible for making these events possible, it was clear that the two events so close together was too much. We look forward to the return of our beloved Viking Fest celebration this year and can’t wait to see our Poulsbo Community back together in celebration once again.”
